Hollister antique biplane overturned at Hollister airport Thursday morning
HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION-TV) -- According to Hollister Mayor Mia Casey, an antique biplane landed on the runway at Hollister Airport on Thursday morning at approximately 10:15 a.m. before accidentally "flipping over."
The mayor confirmed that only the pilot and one passenger were on the plane and there are no injuries. The main runway (31) will remain closed until the plane is removed, the runway inspected and cleaned, according to the Hollister Fire Department.
"Beautiful day for flying, but an unfortunate day on the runway," wrote the Hollister Fire Department on Instagram.
