WASHINGTON (KION) The Physician to the President, Dr. Sean Conley, said in a statement that he anticipates that the President will be able to safely return to 'public engagements' on Saturday.

Conley said Saturday will mark 10 day's since President Trump's COVID-19 diagnosis, but also that he has been stable and lacking any indications that the virus is progressing since returning from the hospital.

Trump was admitted to the Walter Reed Medical Center Friday for treatment and was released on Monday. Conley said he has finished the treatment prescribed by his doctors.

The Commission on Presidential Debates announced earlier in the day that the next debate between President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden would be held virtually due to concerns about Trump's COVID-19 diagnosis. Trump said he would not participate if the event was not held in-person.
