Gov. Gavin Newsom provides update on fires, heat, COVID-19 pandemic

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KION) Gov. Gavin Newsom is providing an update on wildfires around the state, this week's heatwave and the COVID-19 pandemic.

There are currently three fires burning in Monterey County, and the CZU August Lightning Complex Fire is partially in Santa Cruz County.
