GONZALES, Calif. (KION) Throughout the month of April, the City of Gonzales' Recreation Department is inviting community members to participate in a daily scavenger hunt.

Every day of the month, the Recreation Department is asking residents to decorate their front windows according to a theme so people can take a walk, bike ride or car ride and look for decorated windows.

The Recreation Department is posting daily activity links on Facebook to help come up with ideas, and it's asking people to take pictures of windows and upload them to Facebook with #CityofGonzalesCA.

Wednesday's theme is April Fools, and the Recreation Department posted links to information for kids, jokes and riddles.

The city asks that everyone adheres to social distancing guidelines while participating.
