Central Coast counties release local coronavirus demographics

Santa Cruz County
The ages of patients who tested positive for coronavirus:
- 1 was 17 or younger
- 41 were between the ages of 18 and 64
- 12 were aged 65 or older
The genders of those who tested positive:
- 28 male
- 26 female
- 0 other
As of Wednesday afternoon, there are 54 total cases. Nine people have been hospitalized, and one person died. 794 coronavirus tests have come back negative.
San Benito County
Of those who have been tested for coronavirus:
- 311 patients have been tested
- 86% of those who were tested for coronavirus are female
- Patients range from 3 to 99-years old
- The median patient age is 46 years old
Of those who tested positive for coronavirus:
- 13 were between 18 and 49 years old
- 6 were between 50 and 64 years old
- 4 were over 65 years old
In total, 23 people tested positive as of Friday afternoon. 11 of those cases are still active and 11 have recovered. The county has reported one coronavirus death.

As of Wednesday afternoon, 42 people have tested positive for coronavirus and there were 616 tests. Eight people have been hospitalized and two have died.
