MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) Ohana, the child and adolescent mental and behavioral health program at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, said it is moving to a new location and has been given the go-ahead to build the Ohana Center in Ryan Ranch.

The program moved from its office at the Hartnell Professional Center to the Montage Health Medical Office on Upper Ragsdale Drive Friday to allow for more space.

The Center, which CHOMP said was approved by elected officials, is expected to include up to 24 inpatient beds with separate areas for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor spaces, an outpatient treatment wing, rooms for counseling, spaces for community activities and classrooms for training and workshops.

Despite the change in location, the phone number is still 831-642-6201.
