Monterey County Health Officer orders all laboratories to report COVID-19 test results

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey County Health Officer has issued an order that all laboratories conducting COVID-19 testing should report all results to the Monterey County Health Department.

It includes all positive, negative and inconclusive test results.

The health officer said the order lines up with state reporting requirements and does not add any requirements, but the officer can enforce the order.

The County said the order does not affect the access patients and providers have to results and does not affect the privacy of patient information.
