SALINAS, Calif. (KION) This video was taken on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at a Starbucks in London, United Kingdom, as we just found out the previous night US President Donald Trump announced travel restrictions between the US and continental European countries in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).

My friends and I had already booked train tickets, hotels and tour bookings in Paris in advance and we were scrambling to try and cancel all of it. But many of the tour booking companies were facing call volume backups; we couldn't reach the hotel in Paris either.

We lost all that money in the end on those things.
