Campgrounds at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park closed, trails remain open
BIG SUR, Calif. (KION) California State Parks has closed all campgrounds at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, but that does not mean the park is entirely closed.
Non-campground areas, such as trails and beaches, are still open to visitors, but they are still asked to practice social distancing by staying six feet apart and avoiding anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
Restrooms will also remain open, but visitors are asked to take soap for washing hands or alcohol-based hand sanitizers when water is not available.
Visitor centers, museums and cafes in State Parks had already closed.
