17 Grand Princess passengers quarantined at Asilomar
PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. (KION) Officials have confirmed that 17 passengers from the Grand Princess cruise ship are currently being quarantined at Asilomar Hotel & Conference Grounds.
Officials initially announced that 12 passengers were being held at the facility on Wednesday. California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CAL OES) Spokesperson Brad Alexander confirmed that the number of patients had risen to 17 as of Saturday.
The facility is equipped to treat a total of 24 patients, and will operate throughout the remained of the 14-day quarantine period.
CAL OES cannot comment on the condition of any patients at this time.
