Man steals around $4,800 in items from Gilroy Prep School; police
GILROY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Gilroy Police posted a notice looking for the suspect of a robbery at Gilroy Prep School over the weekend on Facebook Wednesday.
Police say that the man stole approximately $4,800 worth of items, including a floor buffer and popcorn machine. Gilroy police also say that more items were stolen, but those were the two most important items; the school uses the popcorn machine at several school events.
They were able to use surveillance footage to get an image of the man but have not identified him yet.
They are asking the public with any information or who can possibly identify the man, to contact Sgt. Kenneth Ellsworth at kenneth.ellsworth@cityofgilroy.org or 408-846-0331.
"We'd like to get the stolen items back to the students and staff," wrote the Gilroy Police on Facebook. "Thank you in advance for your help, Gilroy. We appreciate it."
