Chick-fil-A comes to Gilroy on Thursday
GILROY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Chick-fil-A, Inc. announced Monday that it will be opening a Gilroy location on Thursday at 7060 Chestnut St.
The company said that the restaurant will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and take-out between 6:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
This will be the 24th Chick-fil-A restaurant in the greater San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose market and is expected to bring 120 full- and part time jobs to the community, according to the company. They also say that 100 local heroes will be honored with free Chick-fil-A meals for one year.
"Bohnenberger’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need," said the company in a statement announcing the Gilroy location opening.
“What I find most exciting about Gilroy is the alignment between the community's passions and my own, sharing a passion for supporting individuals and organizations that contribute to Gilroy's improvement,” said newly appointed independent franchise owner-operator Jonathan Bohnenberger.
The company says that most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual who is expected to work in their restaurants day-by-day and side-by-side with their employees.
