Students from all 50 states enroll in Monterey Bay Aquarium’s free online courses

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey Bay Aquarium is offering free online courses for pre-K through 12 students, and it said more than 25,000 students from all 50 states have already enrolled.

The online courses focus on science, and students can learn at their own pace.

There are courses in English and Spanish, and they include Otter Spotters, Tide Pool Scientist, Explore Like a Scientist and #TeensCan Make a Difference.

Parents and caregivers can also get involved with resources designed to support students with daily activities.

Other resources the aquarium offers includes a curriculum to help teachers with marine science, conservation and environmental science lessons; crafts and printables; a guide with facts and stories about ocean animals and a look at ocean habitats.
