Off-duty St. Louis officer accused of shooting at trick-or-treating event no longer employed
ST. LOUIS (AP) — A police spokesperson says an off-duty St. Louis County officer accused of shooting a gun at a school trick-or-treating event no longer is employed at the department. The St. Louis County Police Department on Monday confirmed Matthew McCulloch is no longer at the agency. McCulloch has been charged with child endangerment, armed criminal action and making a terrorist threat. Police say McCulloch was threatening the hundreds of parents and children at the event. After a parent shoved him to the ground, police say he showed his badge and then fired a handgun into the air at least a dozen times. His lawyer did not immediately return The Associated Press’ request for comment Monday.
