Several rain chances this week

Cool and unsettled weather is in store for the next several days. Several light weather systems - each progressively stronger - will move past the Central Coast this week. Expect cooler than normal temperatures, brisk winds, and rain chances through Thursday.

Monday: Partly cloudy, cool and breezy. Highs will mostly be in the 50s with increasing clouds late in the day.

Overnight: Light to briefly moderate rain chances will sweep through the Central Coast overnight. Lows will mostly be in the 30s-40s.

Tuesday: Rain chances early, then partly cloudy and breezy. Highs will mostly be in the 50s.

Extended: Dry conditions for Wednesday, before widespread rain and gusty winds return Wednesday night into Thursday. Rain chances look to be moderate to briefly heavy.

The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for January 18th – 24th calls for the likelihood of near normal temperatures and BELOW normal precipitation.
