Sandy Santos, Telemundo Producer/Anchor

Sandra Iveth Santos joined the Telemudno 23 / KION News team for video editing as promotions manager in July 2022, while still pursuing a career in journalism at San Jose State University. 

After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism and a minor in Radio / Television / and Film, she joined the newsroom as a full-time bilingual reporter. 

Since joining Telemundo Costa Central, Sandra, has contributed to both English and Spanish stories that focus on community-based needs. In July 2024, she was officially promoted to Anchor / Producer for Telemundo 23 Costa Central. 

Sandra emigrated from Mexico in 2000, and has lived in Monterey County for over 24 years. She also holds a number of achievements, like earning multiple Associates Degrees in Graphic Design, Digital Arts, and Mass Communications. She has also worked with local radio stations and promotions agencies, all focused in mass communications in Spanish. 

When not in the newsroom, she enjoys playing sports, engaging with the community, and attending local events to support her community. Sandra is also a skilled baker, cook, content creator, and athlete.
