Multiple parks and beaches closed in Santa Cruz County
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV)- Santa Cruz County and other local agencies are closing multiple parks and beaches due to impending inclement weather heading to the Central Coast.
Here is the full list of closures in Santa Cruz County, this page will be updated with potential road closures and potential power outages in the area.
Park Closures
- These state parks in Santa Cruz County are fully closed which include Big Basin Redwoods, Butano State Park, Castle Rock, Portola Redwoods State Park and Wilder Ranch State Park. California State Parks said those parks could reopen on Thursday.
- Three beaches are fully closed which include Lighthouse Field State Beach, Natural Bridges State Beach, Palm State Beach and Sunset State Beach.
- The New Brighton State Beach Campground is closed and will be re-evaluated by park staff on Friday afternoon.
- Seacliff State Beach will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday due to winter storm conditions in the area. State park officials will be revaluating the conditions for Friday opening.
