49ers will be heading to Super Bowl LVIII after pulling off a 17-point comeback
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KION-TV)- The 49ers will be heading to Super Bowl LVIII after a comeback win for the ages against the Detroit Lions with a 34-31 win in the NFC Championship Game.
Quarterback Brock Purdy threw for 267 yards and a touchdown which sparked a comeback for the ages. The 49ers (14-5), scored 17 points in an eight-minute span of the third quarter to tie the game and then pulled away in the fourth quarter.
The 49ers will have a familiar foe as they will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch from Super Bowl LIV which the Chiefs won 31-20 in 2020.
