Santa Cruz County asks for community input on homelessness plan

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Santa Cruz County's Housing for Health Partnership is holding a series of meetings to help develop ideas and recommendations related to its local homelessness plan.

Each meeting will be held in a roundtable format and community members are encouraged to attend.

The meetings are taking place at the following dates, times and locations:

  • January 31, 4:30 - 6:30 pm -1400 Emeline Avenue Room 206/207 in Santa Cruz
  • February 6, 3 - 5 pm - Sheriff's Community Room at 5200 Soquel Avenue (First floor) in Santa Cruz
  • February 7, 5 - 7 pm - Watsonville Community Room at 275 Main Street (4th floor)

Topics to be discussed at the meetings include helping people avoid homelessness, helping people secure homes quickly, improving street-level outreach and increasing personal incomes among other topics.
