Kaiser Permanente is expanding to Monterey County
SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- One of the largest employers in the state will soon be expanding to Monterey County.
A Kaiser Permanente spokesperson confirmed to KION in a statement that they will be expanding to Monterey County.
"We are very pleased to confirm that, pending regulatory approval, Kaiser Permanente is preparing to serve the residents of northern Monterey County, bringing our high-quality, integrated health plan and medical services to the community. We are excited to respond to the calls from businesses and individuals who have long asked that we bring Kaiser Permanente to the area. Meanwhile, we have proudly been getting to know and helping to support local organizations that share our goal of building healthy communities, and look forward to continuing to serve the people of Monterey County."
The health organization currently has locations in Watsonville, Gilroy and Santa Cruz.
Multiple sources confirm to KION that the locations for a Kaiser Permanente clinic will be in Salinas and Marina. The goal is to have those locations open for patients by the start of 2025.
