PERRYVILLE, Maryland (WBAL) — Maryland State Police are investigating the suspicious deaths of two juveniles in Cecil County.

Autopsy results revealed no abnormalities, according to police. Investigators are now awaiting toxicology results.

Investigators searched the home and found drug paraphernalia and “other items of evidentiary value,” police said.

Police said a 10-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were pronounced dead Tuesday at their home in Perryville.

At 1:20 p.m., troopers responded to a home in the 600 block of Cole Street to assist the Perryville Police Department with the cardiac arrest of two juveniles.

The victims’ 12-year-old sister found them unconscious and called 911, saying the two were suffering from an unknown medical condition, police said. The two kids were siblings, living in the house with their mother.

There was no indication of violence in the area where the juveniles were found. Police do not believe anyone else was in the home at the time.

The investigation is ongoing.
