Rafael Baca re-signs with Monterey Bay F.C. on a two-year deal

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION-TV)- Monterey Bay F.C. checked off a major box on their offseason list on Wednesday.

The club announced that Rafael Baca has re-signed with them on a two-year deal.

In July 2023, Baca signed with MBFC after spending the last nine seasons with Cruz Azul of Liga MX.

In 12 appearances, Baca scored one goal, one assist and 24 tackles. Baca said he only has one goal for the 2024 season.

"The main aspiration that I have for this season is to achieve one of the franchise's main goals – a playoff run," Baca said. “Personally, I will prepare to the best of my capabilities to bring lots of joy to the fans."

The season opener for MBFC takes place on Wednesday March 13 against the El Paso Locomotive.
