Police chase ends with car crashed into Liberty home, resident seriously injured

    KANSAS CITY, Missouri (KCTV) — A Sunday night police chase sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries after a suspect crashed a car into their home.

In a Facebook post, the Liberty Police Department reported that around 10:55 p.m., the Sugar Creek police informed them of an ongoing pursuit that was entering Liberty.

Shortly after, Sugar Creek police told Liberty police that the suspect had crashed into a Liberty home and ran away from the scene. Liberty police quickly caught up with the suspect on foot and took them into custody. The suspect’s identity has not been released and it is unclear if charges have been filed.

One resident in the home that was crashed into sustained serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.
