PRUNEDALE, Calif. (KION) Salinas police arrested a Prunedale-area man on gun and drug charges after he was allegedly seen in a video shooting a rifle out of a moving vehicle.

Police found out about the video on New Years Day and began investigating. The Violence Suppression Task Force identified the suspect as 21-year-old Javier Placencia, who was out on bail after an arrest on gun charges three weeks earlier.

The VSTF got an arrest warrant for Placencia and a search warrant for his home in the 14000 block of Russo Road. Tuesday morning, the VSTF with the help of the SWAT team served the search warrant and arrested Placencia.

Police said a shotgun, two rifles, ammo and 96 hydrocodone pills were found while serving the search warrant.

Placencia was booked into the Monterey County Jail.
