A lawyer for Donald Trump entered a not guilty plea for him during his first appearance in a Miami federal court. The former president is facing 37 counts related to the mishandling and retention of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate. He appeared alongside his co-defendant, valet Walt Nauta, and was released on his own recognizance without having to pay bail. After the hearing, Trump flew back to his golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, where he gave a speech criticizing the charges against him and was slated to hold a fundraiser.
