Man arrested after reportedly trying to run girlfriend off the road
A man is in custody after allegedly trying to run his girlfriend off the road in Salinas.
Salinas Police arrested 24-year-old Deontay Anderson Sunday morning for assault with a deadly weapon.
Police said around 4:00 a.m. Anderson followed his girlfriend and tried to run her off the road near Davis and Central after a domestic dispute.
The two cars crashed and Anderson reportedly left the scene.
No major injuries were reported.
Anderson was booked into the Monterey County Jail. He faces charges including assault with a deadly weapon, driving under the influence of alcohol and violation of parole.
