Crash near Bloomfield Ave leaves at least one person dead

UPDATE 1/3/19 5:35AM One person is dead and another arrested after a crash on SR-25, north of Bolsa Road in Hollister, according to California Highway Patrol.

Two cars, a Ford Transit and a Chevy Silverado, were involved in the crash, according to CHP. The Transit was turning left onto State Route 25 while the Silverado was heading southbound on the highway. The Transit did not yield to the Silverado, and the crash ensued.

The Transit overturned and the driver, Aler Roldan, was killed. The passenger suffered major injuries.

The Silverado driver, Jesus Rodriquez, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

GILROY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- At least one person has died following a crash near Bloomfield Avenue between Gilroy and Hollister Thursday night.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed the crash happened just after 9 p.m. close to Highway 101.

CHP hasn't confirmed the number of cars or condition of other people involved in the crash.
