Two men arrested in connection to Las Lomas shooting
Two men are behind bars for suspected involvement in a Las Lomas shooting last month.
On Aug. 23, the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting on Loma Vista Court. They said the two suspects were seen leaving the house in a white Ford truck, and the person who reported it said the shooter had a rifle. Witnesses said they fired five shots into a house, and nobody was injured in the shooting
Watsonville police arrested Evaristo Cabrera and Jimmy Moreno on Saturday after the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning to be on the lookout for them.
Police said they saw their truck on Green Valley Road near Trembly Lane. Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop with the help of K9 Axel. The suspects surrendered and were arrested.
