Salinas Valley State Prison inmate sentenced for indecent exposure charge
An inmate at Salinas Valley State Prison was sentenced Friday after he was convicted of indecent exposure.
On April 5, 2018, 41-year-old Antonio Sharp was being disruptive in his cell. A female correctional officer went to investigate, and Sharp exposed himself while making salacious and inappropriate comments. He continued as she walked away to make a report.
Sharp was convicted by a jury in July. A Monterey County judge sentenced him to six months in prison and required him to register as a sex offender after he is released from prison. He is currently serving an 11-year prison sentence for assault with a deadly weapon and is set to be released in January 2023.
