Power restored to nearly 6,000 people in Santa Cruz County

The majority of outages are in the Santa Cruz area. Power is expected to be restored at around 5:15 p.m., but PG&E has not released the cause of the outages.
In Capitola, 280 people are without power, but that has been reduced from 3,000. Power is expected to be restored at around 8:22 p.m. It was caused by an equipment issue.

PG&E has not released a cause for the outages in Santa Cruz, but estimates that power will be restored at around 5:15 p.m.
The outage in Santa Cruz started at around 9 a.m. It initially affected about 3,000 people, but that number was reduced early in the afternoon. It was estimated that power would be fully restored by 12:45 p.m., but PG&E changed that time to 8:22 p.m. The utility said an equipment issue caused that outage.
