Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and his wife survive Tennessee plane crash
Race car driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and his wife survived a small plane crash in Tennessee Thursday afternoon.
Earnhardt was hospitalized after the crash at Elizabethton Municipal Airport in Carter County.
The Cessna plane went off the end of a runway and caught fire after landing at the airport at around 3:40 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash.
