Hubbard, Foreman expected to replace McCaffrey vs. Bucs
By The Associated Press
The Carolina Panthers traded away their best offensive player in Christian McCaffrey, leaving a major hole in their backfield entering Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Second-year running back Chuba Hubbard and D’Onta Foreman are expected to get the bulk of carries for the Panthers, who come into the game ranked 32nd in the league in offense. They will face a Tampa Bay defense that is 14th in the league against the run. Hubbard filled in for McCaffrey last season and ran for 612 yards and five touchdowns, but only averaged 3.6 yards per carry. Foreman ran for 566 yards and three TDs last season for the Tennessee Titans, averaging 4.3 yards per carry.
