Shark with rope caught on tail spotted again, may be worse than originally thought

A great white shark spotted off the shore of Seacliff State Beach last weekend with a rope around its tail has been seen again, but the situation may be worse than originally thought.

The shark was seen by members of the Pelagic Shark Research Foundation, and it still had a rope caught on its tail. They say it looks worse that it did in the original video.

The foundation is now sending a special task force to free the shark. The foundation says if the rope gets too tight, the shark’s tail could fall of, which would likely lead to its death.

It is still not clear how the rope got there, but the foundation says it could be accidental or someone trying to get a closer look at the shark.
