CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Americans have what otherwise would look to be a commanding lead in the Presidents Cup. They are up 11-7 with only 12 singles matches to play at Quail Hollow. Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas are 4-0 in team matches. No American tandem has done that since Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker. But 20-year-old Tom Kim gave the International team the spark it needed. He made a fist-pumping, hat-slamming birdie on the last hole for a 1-up win over Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele. The Internationals won five of the eight matches and cut into the lead.
