Dog stolen from county animal shelter

Monterey County Animal Services has put out an alert for a dog they say was stolen n the early morning hours of Thursday, June 6th.

The dog is described as a male Siberian husky/collie mix.

The shelter’s video camera shows an individual jumping the back fence around 2:30a.m. Thursday.

The individual is dressed in a dark, striped hoodie or flannel with a lighter colored backpack.

The individual then takes the dog out of his kennel and takes the dog out the exterior gate.

The shelter reports that there was minor damage done to the property during the break-in.

They are asking anyone who might you recognize the individual or the dog in the photos to contact the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department or Monterey County Animal Services at 831-769-8850.
