Soledad trailer park residents protest impending eviction

More than 50 residents rallied against their impending eviction from Nielsen’s Trailer Park on Front Street in Soledad.

The owner plans to convert the property into a hotel and affordable housing complex.

Residents received a preliminary eviction notice in October of last year, but they’re now calling on city leaders to find a solution.

We reached out to the attorney’s representing the trailer park for comment, but they were unavailable to speak Wednesday.

No word yet on when a final eviction notice will be served, but the park closure would not occur until at least 12 months after.
