SYDNEY (AP) — Lauren Jackson had one basket in her first game for Australia in 12 years as the Opals lost to France 70-57 on the opening day of the women’s World Cup. Jackson last played on the Australian national team in 2010 and retired from basketball six years later because of a chronic knee injury. The United States beat Belgium 87-72; Canada topped Serbia 67-60; Japan routed Mali 89-56; China blew past South Korea 107-44; and Puerto Rico beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 82-58.
