Crip gang member arrested on drug charges in Sand City

Sand City police say an active member of the Seaside Crip gang was arrested overnight on drug and parole violation charges.

Police found John Wesley Davis on the 900 block of Playa Avenue. They say he is an active parolee, and he had crystal meth, powder cocaine, MDMA and hydrocodone hidden in the groove of his buttocks. Davis also had over $1,800 in cash on him.

He was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail.
