Increased police presence at Pacific Grove High School after threat

UPDATE 5/10/2019 9:00 a.m. Pacific Grove police say they will be increasing their presence at Pacific Grove High School after a threatening message was found Wednesday.

They say the threat was graffiti left in a girl’s restroom, and itmentioned Friday. The school and police are investigating it, and in the meantime they have taken proactive measures to ensure student safety.

If you have any information about the threat, you are asked to contact the school staff or call police at 831-648-3143.

The school shared a Facebook post by police, saying they are interviewing witnesses.

School officials say the school will remain open Thursday, and classes will be held as scheduled.
