Santa Cruz man arrested on gun charges after fight with coworker
A Santa Cruz man was arrested on several gun charges after getting in a fight with a coworker at a rental business.
Police say that during the fight on Thursday, one of the employees had a gun. They say Chad Bachman, 38, had the gun taken from him and he fled the business. The other employee did not cooperate with police.
On Friday, Santa Cruz police and California State Parole found Bachman driving a car on Murray Street. They conducted a high-risk car stop and detained Bachman.
After the investigation, Bachman was arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail for being a felon in possession of a firearm, prohibited person owning or possessing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm.
