Crash temporarily blocked train tracks in King City

King City Police are urging drivers to be careful and pay attention to their surroundings after a crash left a car blocking some train tracks.

According to police, on March 12th, a white Ford van traveling south on Metz Avenue hit a blue Jeep as the driver was headed west on San Antonio Drive. The Jeep flipped onto its side blocking the Union Pacific Rail Road tracks at the intersection.

Police said the driver of the Ford did stop for the stop sign and hit the other vehicle at the intersection.

The train tracks were blocked for a short time as officers investigated. There were no major injuries.
