Salinas man to be sentenced for attacking 15-year-old girl
A Salinas man faces up to six years and two months in prison for attacking a 15-year-old girl.
According to the Monterey County District Attorney, 22-year-old Alfonso Gonzalez Loma entered no contest pleas to oral copulation of a minor and attempted rape.
The charges stem from October 2017 when Loma approached the girl in a car with her brother. Loma told the girl he father needed her inside the party and when she opened the car door, Loma entered the car asked for a kiss.
When the girl refused, he tried to remove her clothes. She fought back and Loma made her perform oral sex on him. The victim’s parents then approached the car and pulled Loma out of the car. A fight then broke out among party-goers and a neighbor called police.
The judge will sentence Loma on April 23rd.
