CHP: Man dies in train accident in Salinas

UPDATE: 3/5/2019 3:55 p.m. A man was struck and killed by a train while walking on the tracks in Salinas.

According to the California Highway Patrol the incident happened on the railroad tracks near Abbott Street and Harris Road around 2:13 p.m. Tuesday.

CHP said the man was wearing headphones and had his back turned when the train hit him.
