Salinas business owner arrested for groping employee

A Salinas business owner and convicted sex offender was arrested again on suspicion of groping his employee during a training session.

The incident happened at Eagle Star Security on South Sanborn Road.

The 18-year-old victim told police his boss and business owner, Salvador Mondragon, 44, sexually assaulted him while “training” him on searching techniques.

“Mondragon had the victim take off clothing to demonstrate the proper way to conduct a strip search. The victim stated that while he was in his underwear, Mondragon groped him in a sexual manner,” said Salinas police.

Mondragon was arrested on the same offense in 2014. He was found guilty of sexual battery and received a sentence of probation and was required to register as a sex offender.
