UPDATE: Missing Santa Cruz boy found safe

UPDATE: 1/30/2019 10:38 a.m. A 12-year-old boy reported missing from his Santa Cruz home was found safe, according to Santa Cruz police.

Felipe Romero-Vega went missing from his home on Morrisey Blvd around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday. Police told KION Vega is back with his family unharmed.

The Santa Cruz Police Department needs the public’s help finding a missing child.

According to police, 12-year-old Felipe Romero-Vega was last seen at 133 Morrisey Blvd. around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 30).

“(Vega) Last seen at home in bed by parents,” said SCPD.

Vega is described as a Hispanic boy, about 5’6″ with brown eyes and brown hair. It’s unclear what the boy was wearing at the time of his disappearance but police said he may be barefoot.
