UPDATE: Suspect arrested for killing brother at Castroville home

UPDATE: 1/25/2019 1:39 p.m. A man is behind bars for allegedly killing his brother at a home in Castroville.

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office said the victim was shot and killed on Del Monte Farms Road around 8:15 p.m. Thursday.

The suspect has been identified as the victim’s brother, 27-year-old Mark Edward Nall.

Nall was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail.

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed a shooting in Castroville around 8 p.m. Thursday. They say it happened at a home on Del Monte Farms Road, a two mile road near Castroville Boulevard.

There is one male victim receiving medical care. His age and condition is unknown at the time.

The sherriff’s office says there is no suspect in custody.
