Marina man arrested after high-speed chase in Santa Cruz County
A Marina man was arrested after a high-speed chase through Santa Cruz County earlier in the week.
On Tuesday afternoon, a CHP officer tried to pull over the man on Highway 1 for speeding, but he did not stop.
He led CHP on a chase, and he nearly hit a CHP motorcycle officer outside Watsonville.
The chase had to be called off because of reckless driving and speeds near 130 MPH.
After an investigation, CHP found the 24-year-old Marina man at his home on Friday.
He tried to run away, but was caught and arrested.
The man had outstanding felony arrest warrants and was booked into the Monterey County Jail.
