Monterey homeless man mistaken for dead

First responders thought they had something serious on their hands just after midnight Tuesday.

A person’s body was found in the middle of Hartnell Street by the post office in Monterey.

Police, fire and ambulance arrived and determined the person was just sleeping on the pavement.
