DUI driver slams into Hollister home, injuring passenger

A portion of a Hollister home is badly damaged after a DUI driver slammed into the home on Sunday evening.

It happened at the corner of Summer and Hamilton Drive. The tire marks left behind by the car led a path straight into the side of the home.

The portion of the home that was crashed into is boarded up until extensive repairs can be made.

Hollister Police say they’re unsure what part of the home was crashed into on Sunday night but luckily whoever was inside at the time is okay.

The driver of the car escaped the crashed vehicle, uninjured, while his passenger suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Hollister Police say as of early Monday morning the driver involved in the crash has been cited and released.

As far as the people inside the home, police indicated the family was a little shaken by the incident but were likely to stick around the house now that the impacted area was boarded up.
