Deputy’s patrol car breaks down in middle of Camp Fire rescue

Chilling new video takes us inside the “Camp Fire “and reveals the moment one deputy thought would be his last.

This body camera video was released Thursday.

The Butte County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy was driving through Paradise, attempting to rescue four people from Feather River Hospital.

The deputy’s patrol car broke down leaving him trapped in an area surrounded by fire.

The video is hard to watch. People are struggling to breathe, and there appears to be no way out.

Ultimately, an emergency vehicle drives through the area, and the small group is able to climb on board.
